Red Dead Redemption Launch Trailer
May 18, 2010

Rockstar's monster western sandbox game has finally launched. A celebratory trailer was released a few days ago, but I've been too busy playing the game to notice.
According to idiot Dave at my local Gamestop, Red Dead Redemption has been a hot seller. Copies of the game were sold out, except for pre-orders. In addition, Dave stated that the Xbox 360 was the more popular version. When asked how today's other big release Alan Wake was performing in comparison Dave simply said, "it's not."
I simply didn't care enough to have Dave elaborate, but I'm sure Alan Wake will do just fine sales wise. Rockstar's track record with sandbox style games and the huge marketing budget for Redemption are likely the cause for the monster day one demand. I don't know about your cities, but every ten steps I take I'm staring down the barrel of John Marston's revolver.
So far my experience with the game has been great. In fact it's soley responsible for the site neglect the last couple days. I'm far to busy shooting wildlife and Mexicans in the face to be concerned about anything else. My only gripe so far is there are not enough Mexican Standoffs.
If you haven't already picked up your copy of Red Dead Redemption you better get on it. Clearly you're missing out. If you're still not convinced, have a look at the trailer below.
