It's not often that I get really excited about Xbox Live or PSN releases, but Blacklight: Tango Down is an exception.  This FPS has the making of a retail game without the need to leave home, and a budget friendly price.

Today developer Zombie Studios shed some light on the weapon customizations that will be available when the game launches later this summer.  To say players will have a few choices when it comes to pimping your gun would be an understatement.  In fact the only way you could pimp your guns out any further would be to hand them over to Xzibit.  Blacklight will allow players to choose from a plethora of real world weapon attachments and options to make their guns truly unique.  Scopes, muzzles, magazines, barrels, stocks, and even camo patterns are all customizable.

Pimping out your gun begins with chosing one of five core weapons (think SMG) as a base, and then customizing that base by choosing different stocks, magazines, barrels and scopes.  The effects of the customizations will be seen in the guns accuracy, recoil, range, and mobility.  According to Zombie the game has over 152 million different primary weapon combinations, 157,248 secondary weapon combinations, and 312 character model and camo patterns.  With all this customization it's safe to assume a player's gun will be truly unique.

Weapon attachments and camo are rewarded to players for earning experience similiar to Call of Duty.  Upon reaching pre-identified ranks a preset weapon will be unlocked offering a number of attachments which can be used for custom guns.

Have a look at the gallery below to see in detail just a few of the options available later on this summer.
